In 1999, Episode 1 of the Star Wars films was broadcast in theaters. "The Dark Menace" is about the efforts to settle a conflict between the remote planet of Naboo and the Trade Federation. In the course of the plot, two Jedi are forced to land on the desert planet of Tatooine. There they meet young Anakin Skywalker, in whom enormous potential lies dormant and raises hopes of having found a possible, very powerful Jedi. Anakin uses a podracer for this race, which he builds himself from the stock of sorted out components of a scrap dealer.
